The Small Print...
The caravan is a family owned holiday home and to enable everyone who uses the caravan to get maximum enjoyment from their holiday, all parties making a booking are deemed to have read and accepted the following Terms and Conditions of Hire.
Terms and Conditions of Hire:
Booking/PaymentPlease telephone or email to check availability of required dates and provisionally book your holiday. A £50 non-refundable deposit is required within 5 working days to secure your booking. A receipt will be sent to you with a note advising you of the date the balance is due which will be 8 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. Should you book your holiday 8 weeks or less from the date of your holiday payment in full will be immediately payable. Failure to make full payment by the appropriate date may result in cancellation of the booking.
Damage DepositAn additional £40 refundable deposit will be required for each booking which will be returned within 14 days of your scheduled departure date assuming the caravan keys have been returned to Reception, no damage has occurred to either the caravan or its contents and the caravan has been returned in a clean and tidy condition. Any breakages must be reported to the owners before departure for repair work to be undertaken. The Lead Party member is the person responsible for any damages.
Hirer’s ResponsibilitiesThe Lead Party member is responsible for all members of the party.
Directions/ParkingDirections to Hopton Holiday Village and the address of the caravan will be sent when full payment has been received. A car may be parked next to the caravan for unloading although there is ample parking immediately behind the caravan. Under no circumstances should you park a vehicle on the Patio as it has not been built to take the weight of a car and will most certainly cause damage. In accordance with Park Rules, please do not park on the grass in wet weather.
Arrival and DeparturePlease remember to take your final confirmation with you and present it to Reception on arrival to collect the keys. Keys will be available from 2pm. Please vacate the caravan by 10am on departure day.
Gas, Electricity and HeatingGas, electricity and heating are included in price. It is a condition of hire that the cooker, gas fire, bedroom and shower room heaters are all switched off when leaving the caravan unattended. Children must not be left unsupervised when the gas fire in the lounge is alight.
Linen and TowelsDuvets and pillows are provided for each bed but please remember to bring with you a flat/bottom sheet, duvet cover and pillowcase for each bed required or alternatively, hire them from Reception. If duvets, pillows or beds are used without the appropriate bed linen, the £40 damage deposit will be forfeited.
Caravan FacilitiesWe will endeavour to make available to the Hirer all facilities as described in the caravan description. However, there may be occasion when this is not within our control and we cannot be held responsible in such cases. Rest assured the Owners will do their utmost to resolve any situation that arises when brought to their attention.
OccupationUnder no circumstances can the caravan be let to more than 6 people (unless specifically agreed with the owner) and only to the individuals named on the Booking Form. Any amendments to the Booking Form must be advised to the Owner prior to arrival day. We are unable to accept bookings from ‘single sex groups’ or ‘groups under 21 years of age’ in accordance with British Holidays terms and conditions.
SmokingSmoking is not permitted in the caravan at any time.
PetsPets are not allowed in the caravan at any time.
Park RulesPark rules are displayed throughout the Park and these must be adhered to at all times. Non compliance with Park Rules may give rise to British Holidays/Haven Holidays personnel having the right to ask you to leave Hopton Holiday Village without recourse.
Park FacilitiesUnfortunately, as we have no control over the facilities on offer at Hopton Holiday Village, we cannot take responsibility for any alteration to the facilities listed.
Lost Property/Holiday InsuranceWe cannot accept responsibility for any property lost in the caravan or on the Hopton Holiday Village site. In this respect, it is recommended that you purchase appropriate Holiday Insurance to cover your personal luggage, money, holiday cancellation/curtailment, personal and public liability etc. This type of cover is relatively standard and widely available.
CancellationIf you have to cancel your holiday you must do so in writing and the cancellation will take effect from the day the letter is received. In the event of cancellation, a sliding scale of charges will apply as follows:
Should the caravan become unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control a refund of all monies paid to date will be refunded.
ComplaintsAny complaints must be made immediately to the owner, in the first instance, who will endeavour to rectify the problem as soon as possible to ensure the enjoyment of your holiday is not compromised. If you are unable to contact the owner please contact Reception who will endeavour to deal with any issues.
AmendmentsThese Terms and Conditions of Hire are subject to amendment from time to time and without notice in circumstances which are deemed to be of high importance or beyond our control. Notice will be provided where circumstances allow.
